Why I Am Bringing Life Is Sound Online: Creating Calm Beyond the Sound Bath

There is nothing I love more than setting up for a sound bath knowing that a gathering of souls is about to happen in a beautiful venue in my home city of Manchester. There is nothing that beats a session where energy is shared in the room and we release, let go and relax, all under the guidance and flow of sound.

When I started this journey I never thought I would be selling out sound bath sessions at the likes of Manchester Cathedral with 300 people in attendance, yet this has been the trajectory that has helped me realise I am in alignment with my life mission and purpose. All this has happened in the space of just over 2 years, from starting sessions at home with friends and family members to hosting over 1500 people across 25 events. This journey has shaped me at every level, as a facilitator, an organiser, a musician, and a guide, teaching me what it really means to hold space with responsibility and care.

I started to notice that the most meaningful moments were not only happening in the room itself. They were happening afterwards. In messages from people who said the session stayed with them for days. From people who wished they could access that feeling again when life became loud. From people who could not always make the event dates, travel the distance, or carve out the time. From people who couldn’t make the physical event because they were depressed or in a season of life where the physical event space was out of alignment for them. The in person community has helped show me how deep this work goes, how much it has carried people through difficult periods in their life or even help shift a blockage in a first time session attendee, all these reflections have cemented in me the goal to take this as far and wide as a possibly can, to help and support as many people in whichever way they need in the moment.

And I realised that if Life Is Sound truly stands for anything, it is this. Support that meets you where you are, not where you wish you were.

The handpan allows the music to move slowly and dream like, then gently rise into flowing melodies that still hold the body in rest.

Why bring Life Is Sound online ?

Bringing Life Is Sound online is not about replacing what already exists. The in person work remains at the heart of everything I do.

But it is about reach.

There are only so many places I can physically be at once. Only so many rooms I can hold in a month. And yet I hear regularly from people who resonate with this work but live elsewhere, cannot travel, or are simply not ready for a live space. The online sessions allow Life Is Sound to travel further than I can. To reach people I cannot yet stand in front of. To offer support beyond geography while staying rooted in the same intention and care.

At the same time, they offer something different.

Mixing Live

The sound is mixed and adjusted live throughout the session, shaped moment by moment to support the depth, flow, and quality of the experience.

They create a space you can return to without needing to plan your life around it. A space you can enter after a long day, during a heavy week, or when your body is quietly asking for something softer. Online sound baths allow the work to live with you. In your home. In your headphones. In moments where you might otherwise push through instead of pause.

The experience remains intentional, guided, and held. Cameras off. Microphones muted. Nothing is required from you except listening. I invite you to turn the lights down low and relax. YYou are welcome to use the chat if you wish, but you are equally welcome to sit in silence and simply receive. There is no expectation to engage. This is your time to settle fully into yourself.

Over time, I intend for this online community to grow into its own world. One that supports us with more than a monthly session. This is the foundation. The first Life Is Sound stone placed in the online space.

The seat of sound

Tibetan bowls from Meinl Sonic Energy are especially powerful in the online space, their deep resonance travelling clearly through headphones and into the body.

Who this is for ?

This is for people who feel the weight of modern life and want something real, not performative.

For those who have been to a sound bath and felt something unlock, and for those who have never experienced one but know their nervous system needs care.

For people who are busy, thoughtful, tired, curious. For those who want depth without dogma. Calm without checking out. Presence without pressure.

You do not need to understand sound healing. You do not need to be spiritual. You do not need to fix yourself.

You just need to be open to listening.

Where online fits

An in person sound bath will always be something special to me. It is a shared pause. A space you step into intentionally. A moment that sits slightly outside of everyday life.I often think of it like a retreat. You arrive, you are held by the space and the people around you, and something deeper has the chance to settle.

Online sound baths serve a different role.

They are more like a practice. Something you return to within real life rather than stepping away from it. A way to support your nervous system regularly, without needing to leave the house, plan ahead, or wait for the next date. Neither replaces the other. They work together.

The in person sessions help you drop in deeply. The online sessions help you carry that sense of calm into the days in between.

This is the next chapter

Life Is Sound is still rooted in shared spaces, live experiences, and human connection. That will never change. Our signature sound sessions in places like Manchester Cathedral, Victoria Baths and Stretford Public Hall will always be the core of our community, in this modern age I realise the importance of these in person sessions. Bringing it online simply means the door is open more often. Not louder. Not bigger. Just closer.

If this resonates, you are welcome here.

Our online sessions will be available each month
